International Work

Sri Lanka

In 2010 Lewis Adey was part of a strategic planning team representing aSqurae Planning for the Planning Institute of Australia in Sri Lanka providing policy development and assisting in preparing Development Plans for Tsunami affected areas of Sri Lanka.

Specifically, he assisted the Sri Lankan Urban Development Authority (UDA) in the preparation of a Development Framework and Development Plan for Beruwala Pradeshiya Sabha, a coastal region of the Western Province.  This identified 12 new hinterland settlements and 5 major infrastructure projects to encourage progressive relocation and funding away from low lying flood prone areas.
